The United Kingdom is expected to record higher temperatures than Ibiza this weekend, with forecasts from the Met Office indicating highs of up to 22°C in some areas.
High Pressure Brings Dry and Sunny Conditions
A stable high-pressure system is driving mostly dry, sunny weather across the UK. Southern regions, including London, are expected to see temperatures around 21°C to 22°C. Cities such as Manchester and Birmingham are likely to reach about 21°C.
In contrast, Ibiza is forecast to remain cooler, with highs near 18°C over the same period.
Regional Differences Across the Country
Northern and coastal areas are expected to be slightly cooler due to onshore winds. Cities such as Newcastle and Oban may reach around 18°C, while Plymouth and Belfast could see highs near 17°C. Eastern coastal areas may also stay cooler despite generally settled conditions.
Outdoor Activity Expected to Increase
The warm spell is likely to encourage more outdoor activity across parks, beaches, and public spaces. The tourism sector may also see increased domestic travel during the period of settled weather.
Temperatures are expected to drop at night, especially in inland areas, with clear skies allowing for sharper cooling.
