NASA has awarded a multiple‑award construction contract to seven companies for infrastructure improvements at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. The contract is valued at up to $300 million and supports construction, revitalization, and upgrades across mission‑support facilities, utilities, and equipment.
The Johnson Space Center Multiple Award Construction Contract (JSC MACC) is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) agreement. This structure allows NASA to rapidly execute essential facility projects while ensuring competition among the awardees for individual task orders. All funds under the contract are required to be obligated by September 30, 2026.
NASA said the upgrades will help sustain astronaut crew training, engineering development, and overall mission readiness. By modernizing facilities and infrastructure, the agency aims to maintain operational efficiency and support ongoing and future human spaceflight programs.
The selected contractors for the program are Coho Construction Management, Conti Federal Services, Healtheon, HITT Contracting, Ross Group Construction Corporation, Energy EPC Solutions (doing business as S&B Services), and Sauer Construction. Task orders will be competed among these companies to ensure best value for the government.
The contract is part of NASA’s broader strategy to maintain and modernize its spaceflight infrastructure while supporting safe and effective human space exploration.
