India will host the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRE Summit & Expo) 2026 from November 2-5, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, bringing together governments, industry leaders, investors and clean energy experts from around the world.

Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi announced the dates during the summit's curtain raiser. He said the event will combine three major international clean energy gatherings for the first time under one platform. The summit will be held alongside the 9th Session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH).

Three Global Clean Energy Events Under One Roof

According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), invitations have been sent to 34 countries for the BRE Summit & Expo, while the International Solar Alliance has invited representatives from 128 member and partner countries to its assembly.

The summit is expected to bring together renewable energy developers, technology providers, manufacturers, battery storage companies, green hydrogen firms, financial institutions and international organizations. The government said the event aims to strengthen investment, technology partnerships and international cooperation across the renewable energy value chain.

India Highlights Renewable Energy Progress

Joshi said India is approaching 300 gigawatts (GW) of installed non-fossil fuel power capacity, reflecting continued growth in renewable energy deployment. He also said the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is expected to cross 5 million beneficiary households in the coming weeks.

Minister of State Shripad Yesso Naik said states are driving renewable energy expansion through projects in solar, wind, hydropower, biomass and hybrid systems. MNRE Secretary Santosh Kumar Sarangi said the next phase of India's energy transition will focus on battery storage, floating solar, agrivoltaics, hybrid renewable projects and the National Green Hydrogen Mission.

Digital Platform Unveiled Ahead Of Summit

During the event, the government unveiled the official "URJHA Chakra" logo and launched the summit's digital portal and mobile application. Officials said the gathering is expected to support policy dialogue, innovation and investment as India expands its role in the global clean energy transition.
